**Job Title:** Service Writer Assistant/Parts Manager
**Department:** Sales - Brooksville Off-Road & Automotive
**Location:** Automotive Repair Shop
We are actively seeking a motivated and personable individual to join our team in the capacity of Service Writer Assistant/Parts Manager. This position will be based in our Automotive Repair Shop, which offers a dynamic work environment where employees encounter new learning opportunities daily while contributing to team success.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Assist the Service Writer in managing repair orders and facilitating effective communication with customers regarding their service needs and the status of their repairs.
2. Coordinate and expedite the workflow of work and materials within or among departments in accordance with the production schedule.
3. Collaborate with technicians to ascertain the parts required for service repairs and ensure that necessary parts are readily available for scheduled services.
4. Oversee the department's parts inventory, maintain well-organized shelves, and regularly assess stock levels of all parts and equipment.
5. Establish relationships with vendors and suppliers to order parts, manage deliveries, and oversee returns and warranty claims. Training will be provided for the appropriate candidate in these responsibilities.
6. Prepare and maintain comprehensive records of parts received, repairs completed, and associated expenses.
7. Assist in the training of new staff members and promote a positive and productive work environment.
8. Remain informed about industry-wide advancements in technology, materials, and methodologies.
9. Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations.
**Qualifications:**
1. A high school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is advantageous.
2. Proven experience in a comparable role, ideally within an automotive service and repair context.
3. Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
4. Familiarity with inventory management software, databases, and systems would be beneficial.
5. Remarkable organizational and multitasking capabilities.
6. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
